There’s nothing better than an ice-cream to beat the summer heat in Sydney. I remember the happiness I would get from a scoop of vanilla ice-cream from the freezer at home after school. Those days are long gone and over the years, ice-cream isn’t just the white, pink and brown.
Sydney has always had amazing ice-cream parlors dotted around the city serving delicious flavours, and now there’s a new one in Gordon called Moo’ed.

Moo’ed specialises in Southeast Asian inspired flavors, serving both gelato and sorbets. I went on a quiet afternoon with the siblings to have a nice treat as summer comes in full swing.

With a few small tables and seats, Moo’ed is a small shop with a handful of flavors on offer at any one time. But what they lack in size, they make up from the novelty and quality in flavors available.

They let you try the flavors before making a final decision and you know I had a try of every single one. We ended up with a scoop of Yuzu sorbet and Teh Tarik, and a black sesame cup. Yuzu sorbet has a deliciously refreshing taste that makes it perfect for summer. A clean tart zing is how I would explain it.

The flavours change from time to time with new flavors always being experimented with and created. I’d definitely be coming again with friends to see what other interesting flavors they have in store.
