Sky100 Observatory Deck

100/F International Commercial Centre, 1 Austin Road West, Kowloon, Hong Kong

Getting there...

Sky100 is very conveniently located at Elements – the shopping mall connected to Kowloon MTR station. It’s the easiest way to get to Sky100, but there’s so many bus stops at the nearby Western Harbour Crossing and around the Austin area to easily walk to Elements within 5 mins.

What to expect when you're there...

You can book your tickets online or buy them on the spot. The lines aren’t very long and if they are, they move rather fast.

Once you have your tickets you move towards the escalators and it is super FAST. I think it took less than 1 minute to get to the observatory deck. You miraculously don’t feel a thing, but the slight irritation of your ears popping.

Once up, you get 360 panoramic views of Hong Kong. You get to see far reaching views of Kowloon, New Territories and Hong Kong Island. Not for those with a fear of heights as I could barely see the ground if I tried looking directly down!

Sky100 is definitely more comfortable being air-conditioned and fully accessible for wheelchair users with plenty of space at the observatory deck.

It you had planned to go to The Peak which gives you the classic postcard skyline view – Sky100 gives you a bird’s eye view of the whole of Hong Kong and not just the famous strip of skyline along the harbour.

Both worth it, but if I was to choose one over the other, it would definitely be Sky100.
