My grilled cheese game was getting really good every since I watched the first video of how to make one years ago. It was about time for me to start experimenting on this classic and make it my own.
Crispy toasty bread with a salty, meaty and cheesy filling that’s perfectly balanced with the tartness of pickles.
That is what I want to share with you today.
Corned Beef Grilled Cheese Sandwich
INGREDIENTS
Makes 1
Two slices of sandwich bread
1/2 cup of mozzarella
1/2 cup of sharp cheddar
Butter for spreading
2 big table spoons of corned beef (tin)
1 Pickle
DIRECTIONS
1. Butter both slices of bread on both sides and place them onto a flat pan.
2. Place a handful of mozzarella on top of one slice of bread and spread your corned beef on top.
3. Grab your pickle and cut it into thin slices. Place them on top of the corned beef. Than grab a handful of cheddar and place that on top of your pickles and cover with the other slice of bread.
4. Grill each side of your sandwich until the butter makes the exterior golden brown and crispy (3-4min). Tip: you can place a heavy bowl on top as it grills on each side to gaurantee a beautiful crust.
